Several of our clients have signed up with some of the new providers of on-line booking services. Many are pleased with the results, finding that new patients are willing to book new patient appointments on-line then simply turn up in the practice on the day ~ ready to go.
I have to say, that although I think having an online booking facility is way better than not having one, the current offerings leave me wanting a solution that is better integrated into the practice’s web site and the practice’s patient management software. It seems that the current providers are intent on establishing themselves as online dental directories and keeping their third party status rather than providing a truly integrated solution. Still, the market is wide open for new business and I hope that the next players will do things differently.
